About me

Hello there, sweet friends! I'm so thrilled that you have stumbled over to my blog. My name is Nisa - a lady with a mindset of her own. Her inner thoughts are her personal insane asylum. Words scattered across the achlorophyllous quotidian are attempts at emancipation of this discombobulated train of thoughts within her cerebral cortex she call her mind.

I grew up in Kuala Lumpur and graduated in Bachelor's degree in Microbiology in 2010. My story is pretty much like every other kid that grew up in the 80's and early 90's - Saturday morning cartoons, bowls of sugar laced cereals, jet fighter shaped fruit snacks, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Disney Afternoons. I really miss those days... If you didn't already know that I'm a huge geek at heart, you will after browsing through some of my writings. After I graduated university, I work as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Department of Bacteriology at the private hospital. Yes, I work with microorganisms that cause diseases and environmental damages, including parasites. It was indeed a challenging course.

I AM A CAT LADY
I left my beautiful cat, Moshi, at my in-law's home. She is a bengal with marble markings. If you submit to me a picture of your cat or talk about cats at all in any capacity, we will most likely to get along.

WHAT FIRST DREW ME TO BLOGGING?
I have been blogging since the good old days of Livejournal - it happened in 2000. Back then, my blog was s lightly edited diary that I assumed (probably accurately) no one wanted to read. I was not even quite sure what a blog was at the time, but I knew I needed some sort of creative outlet and decided to give blogging a try. It was not long before I caught the blogging bug. I don't mean to be overly dramatic, but it changed my life. I really came to value the interactivity of blogs and the ability to engage in conversations with readers. So, I created Pupuchik.com (I used Blogger before that) and blogging on a regular basis for a couple of years before I decided not to develop it anymore - a student's life is much hectic and busy! And now, I'm back and started Panphila on a whim in June, 2015. In blog years, that makes me very, very old! I think the key to why I lasted 17 years, is that my blogging is fueled by personal and/or selfish reasons.

WHAT KIND OF BLOGGING DO I LIKE TO DO?
Right now, I live in the world of motherhood/parental blogging (just gave birth to a baby boy in March, 2017). But the main constant theme throughout the evolution of this blog is lifestyle/personal style. All the other interests were fleeting. Being random has always been a way of life for me. I write pretty much anything I am interested in and feel I need or want to write about - it can be food reviews and travel experiences.

WHAT NOW?
So now that you know more about me than you ever wanted to know, where do we go from here? Well, that depends on what you're looking for.

Thank you all for popping over to my little corner of the internet! I would love to connect with you on social media, so be sure to say hi on Google+FacebookInstagram and Twitter. Talk to you soon!
